OnePhone ("we," "our," or "us") operates the CyberGuard AI mobile application ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use CyberGuard AI.
By downloading and using CyberGuard AI, you agree to the data practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of the App.
CyberGuard AI is designed to help you manage incoming calls by blocking spam, identifying unknown callers, and allowing you to create custom blocking rules. To provide these features, the App requires access to certain data on your device.
CyberGuard AI collects the following categories of data to deliver its core functionality:
We collect and process phone numbers of incoming and outgoing calls to identify spam, match against your custom blocking rules (prefix, suffix, pattern), and display caller information. Phone numbers of blocked callers are stored locally on your device within the App's block list.
CyberGuard AI accesses your device's call log to display call history, generate statistics (such as number of blocked calls), and identify patterns of spam behavior. Call log data is processed on-device and is used solely for the App's call management features.
If you choose to enable contact-based features (such as identifying known callers or allowing calls from contacts), CyberGuard AI will access your device's contact list. Contact data is used only to match incoming calls against your saved contacts and is never uploaded to our servers. This access is optional and can be disabled at any time through the App's settings.
We store your custom blocking rules, preferences, and App settings locally on your device. This includes blocked number lists, prefix/suffix rules, pattern matching rules, and notification preferences.
We collect basic device information such as device model, Android version, and App version for compatibility and troubleshooting purposes. This data does not identify you personally.
User data will only be stored in the cloud if the user chooses to save or back up their data. Without user interaction or permission, we do not store any user data in the cloud.
When you sign in to CyberGuard AI, spam identification is enabled by default to help identify and warn you about potential spam callers. Users can manually change or disable this setting at any time through the App's Settings section.
Even after signing out of the App, basic caller identification and unknown caller detection features may continue to function on your device, allowing incoming calls to be identified using locally available data and App services. However, account-specific settings, preferences, backups, and cloud-related features will no longer be available until you sign in again.
Important: CyberGuard AI processes most data locally on your device. We do not collect or transmit the content of your phone calls under any circumstances.
We use the data we collect for the following specific purposes:
CyberGuard AI requests the following Android permissions to function correctly:
Purpose: To access your call history so the App can display call logs, generate blocking statistics, and identify patterns of spam calls. This permission is essential for the App's core call management functionality.
Data Accessed: Incoming and outgoing call records including phone numbers, call timestamps, call duration, and call type (incoming, outgoing, missed).
Purpose: To match incoming calls against your saved contacts so the App can identify known callers and allow their calls. This permission is optional and only requested if you enable contact-based features.
Data Accessed: Contact names and associated phone numbers stored on your device.
Purpose: To enable the built-in dialpad feature, allowing you to make outgoing calls directly from within the App.
Purpose: To detect incoming calls in real-time and apply blocking rules before the call reaches you.
Purpose: To send you notifications when a call has been blocked, including the blocked number and the rule that triggered the block.
This permission is used to send notifications from the app when an unknown caller is identified. The app may ask the user whether they want to block the caller. Notifications will be shown only if the required overlay permission is not granted by the user.
This permission is used when the user enables scheduled or timer-based call blocking. If someone calls while call blocking is active, the app can automatically send an SMS reply using the user-selected message template. Users can enable or disable this SMS feature at any time from the app settings
Your Control: You can revoke any permission at any time through your device's Settings > Apps > CyberGuard AI > Permissions. Note that revoking certain permissions may limit the App's functionality.
Local Storage: All your personal data, including blocked number lists, custom rules, call history, and preferences, is stored locally on your device. We do not maintain a central server database of your personal call data.
Security Measures: We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data, including:
While we take appropriate measures to protect your data, no method of electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of data stored on your device.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
Specifically:
We may share anonymized, aggregated data (such as total number of spam calls blocked across all users, with no personally identifiable information) for the purpose of improving our spam detection algorithms and reporting general App statistics.
If we are legally required to disclose data by law, regulation, or court order, we will comply only to the extent required and will notify you where legally permissible.
All personal data is stored locally on your device for as long as you use the App. We do not retain your personal data on any server.
If you uninstall CyberGuard AI, all locally stored data (blocked number lists, custom rules, call history within the App) will be permanently deleted from your device. We have no way to recover this data after uninstallation.
Anonymized, aggregated statistics used for spam detection improvement are retained indefinitely as they contain no personally identifiable information.
As a user of CyberGuard AI, you have the following rights regarding your data:
To exercise any of these rights, you can use the App's built-in settings or contact us at [email protected].
